|StoryCorps Legacy at The Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital|
The Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy Department has partnered with the national non-profit organization StoryCorps and their StoryCorps Legacy Pediatric program. StoryCorps' mission is to provide Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of our lives.
This special opportunity was available for our patients and families for a three-month period and with its success and assistance from gracious donors we are now offering it for another year.
StoryCorps trained members of our team to facilitate recordings of our patients, families, staff members and department so that they too can share their story, record an interview or record a personal message. Each conversation is recorded on a free CD to share, and is preserved in the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. StoryCorps Legacy provides patients with serious illness conditions and their families the opportunity to record, preserve and share their stories. Recording interviews is the perfect ways to celebrate and share the lives of our loved one for generations to come.
